A post-doctoral position will be available (pending final funding approval) in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. This NIMH-funded position involves coordinating a large clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of a preventive intervention for the offspring of anxious parents. Major responsibilities include coordinating subject recruitment and data collection, supervising a team of graduate and undergraduate research assistants, conducting clinical assessments, and providing the intervention. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational, interpersonal, clinical, writing, and data analytic skills. Experience conducting structured diagnostic interviewing and coding of parent-child interactions desired. Applicants will have the opportunity to participate in the conceptualization, analysis, and preparation of manuscripts from this project. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in psychology, demonstrate strong potential for a career in clinical research, and have experience in child assessment and therapy.
